These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) apply to the entire contents of the website under the domain name stayinthegoodbooks.com (the “Website”) and to any correspondence by email between stayinthegoodbooks.com Limited and you.



Please read the Terms carefully before using the Website. Your use of the Website indicates your unconditional agreement that you accept the Terms in effect at the time of usage regardless of whether or not you choose to register with the Website. If you do not accept the Terms, you should not use the Website.



When you purchase any items through our website you will be contracting with Sayinthegoodbooks.com, a limited liability company incorporated in England and Wales under company number 6463660. Stayinthegoodbooks.com is referred to in these terms and conditions as “Company” "we" "us" or "our". Any reference to “you” or “your” is a reference to any user of the Website and, where relevant, the recipient of any Product or Service from the Website as defined hereunder.





Registered office:

• an online address book detailing names, addresses, date of birth etc. (compiled from information provided by you);
• a reminder service through the provision of personalised email and/or text messages at your request (“Reminder Service”);
• the online purchasing of certain Products

The products (“Products”) available via the Website shall include, without limit:

• personalised greeting cards;
• personalised postcards;
• gifts

 2. YOUR CONSUMER RIGHTS

2.1. Product description

We shall endeavour to ensure that all of the products shown on the website are accurately represented however these descriptions and / or images may from time to time vary to the actual Product provided and, for the avoidance of doubt, shall not form part of any contract with us.

2.2. Price and Sales Tax

Unless otherwise stated on the Website, prices of Products displayed on the Website shall be inclusive of UK VAT. In the unlikely event price(s) of any Product displayed on the Website are incorrect, you will be contacted by us and given the option to either (a) cancel your order for the relevant Product only or (b) complete your order for the relevant Product at the correct price.

2.3. Dispatch

We will endeavour to dispatch all orders for Products within the timescale selected at the time of purchase. However we cannot be held responsible for postal delays once the Product(s) have been despatched by us for delivery

2.4. Return of defective goods

We endeavour to despatch the goods to you in perfect condition. However occasionally goods can be damaged in transit and we are keen to rectify any problem as quickly as possible.



In the event that the product(s) is defective, you may return it to us at your own expense within 7 days of receiving such product(s). Please return product(s) to the postal address set out in "Contact Us". In the event that the relevant defect is found to have been caused by us (as determined in our absolute discretion) we shall, in our sole discretion, either;

• supply replacement Product(s) free of charge; or
• reimburse the price paid for the relevant Product(s) to the credit or debit card used to purchase the goods

For the avoidance of doubt, we cannot be held responsible for Products which are damaged in transit.



All complaints relating to any Products purchased from the Website should be made in writing (or email) within five (5) working days of receipt. We will endeavour to resolve any complaint within fourteen (14) days of receipt of a complaint letter but shall have no obligation to do so.



Please note that your right to return items to us in accordance with these terms and conditions is in addition to any other statutory rights you may have.



3. PREPAY CREDIT (PAYMENT ON ACCOUNT)

3.1. Prepay

Prepay is where you are able to buy an amount of credit and receive a loyalty bonus where your actual credit on the Website increases over and above the amount actually paid. For example you could pay GBP10 but receive GBP12.50 prepay credit in your Stayinthegoodbooks.com account.

3.2. Account information

Prepay credit amounts are separately recorded and the total balance of credit is shown in your accounts under credit history, and will be displayed in the header of the website at all times when you are logged in to your account.

3.3. Refunds

If you change your mind after making a payment on pre-pay credit you may request a refund by contacting us within 14 days of the transaction. In such cases the amount refunded will be the sum of the original payment less the value of any goods bought on pre pay credit (value of goods purchased will be deducted at the normal non prepay rate at our discretion). Refunds can only be made to the credit card account used to make the original purchase.

3.4. Usage of cash and credit balances







At the point of checkout our system will check your balance of Prepay credit. Any applicable goods will be paid for by using the Prepay credit balance pro rata.

3.5. Our liability to you

Any payment made on account shall be deemed as a payment for goods and services to be ordered from us. After the initial refund period described above our liability to you will be to provide goods and services to value of the account balance. Cash balances will not be returned except in cases where the customer has received defective goods or service and requested a refund of the unused prepay cash balance held on the account.

3.6. Balance reminders and expiry of inactive account balances

If you do not place any orders for a 12 month period we will send an e-mail to the address in your Account Details to remind you of your balance. This will be repeated at 18 months. When a period of 24 months has passed with no orders placed we will assume that your account is no longer active and the Prepay balance will expire. 



4. PRIVACY AND SECURITY POLICY



In order to provide the Services and Products available through the Website, we will hold certain personal information relating to you. We have obligations in relation to your personal information under the Data Protection Act 1998.



By providing personal information, you agree to us using this information for the operation of the Website and the provision of the Services and the Products to you.



Where you provide information about other people (for example their name, date of birth or address) you also confirm that you have the consent of these people to provide us with that information.



Any personal information that we collect from you will be used solely for the purposes of operating the Website and providing the Services and Products to you.



The personal information that you provide is securely stored within the Website and all personal information transmissions that provide payment or bank account details are encrypted. (we will not hold any payment information – this is held by Paypal)

We will use this information to send you an relevant e-mail correspondence to keep you informed of new products and seasonal offers. In addition you may choose to receive e mail reminders with suggested cards. The accuracy of your personal information is dependant upon the accuracy of the information that you provide. We will not verify personal information other than that which is provided for payment or account purposes and we shall not be responsible for errors or problems that arise as a result of inaccurate information submitted by you.



Responsibility for the security of any password(s) issued by us rests solely with you.



You can check the information that we hold about you by logging on to our website and checking your Account. You may update your personal information online.

Cookies - In order to improve the service offered to you technology may be used to track the patterns of behaviour of visitors to the site and to help personalise the content displayed to each user. This can include using a "cookie" which would be stored on your browser.

Credit card transactions - Your card details are transferred directly to our Payment Service Provider for immediate authorisation and are not recorded or stored in our database. Once we have received authorisation from the Payment Service Provider we confirm your order.

You agree not to use the website directly or indirectly for any unlawful purpose or to transmit to or from the website any material:

We reserve the right not to process your order if we decide that you are using the website for such purposes and ban you from placing orders with us in the future. In such an event we will refund any payment made by you.

A discount code cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount or promotional code.  Some  discount codes will have an expiry date attached to them.
