Here at stayinthegoodbooks.com, we are very proud of our Address Book, because of the unique way that we arrange recipients and the simple way we allow you to set up mailing Groups.
Recipients
You can create individual recipients, couples, or households:
- Create an Individual recipient (show icon) – this is a standard type of recipient that enables you set birthday reminders and send cards to an individual
- Create a Couple recipient (show icon) – this allows you set anniversary reminders for a couple and also send cards addressed to that couple for other instances, such as an invitation
- Create a Household recipient – a household recipient can be used for occasions where you wish to send a card to the whole family rather than just an individual or couple e.g. new house, Christmas etc...
To save time, from within each new recipient you create, you have the option to create another recipient (individual, couple or household) with the same address. The address information will be copied across so you do not need to retype all of the information.
To send cards to a recipient, you can either:
- Send a card to a recipient by clicking on ‘send card’ within that recipient’s box
- Create a card from the home page or click on ‘create a card’ from any page on the website, and tick the recipient box of the recipient you wish to send the card to when you arrive at the Address Book
- You can also tick multiple recipient boxes to send the same card to several recipients
Uploading Existing Address Books
If you already have an address book in Outlook or other email account* and have over £20 of prepay credit on your account, we can upload and transfer your recipients onto our system, please email admin@stayinthegoodbooks.com for further details.
Groups
Groups can be used to create a mailing list for occasions such as Christmas or for invitations, and can include a mixture of individuals, couples and households. This function is particularly useful if you wish to send multiple cards with automatically populated suitable greetings, for example each card will be addressed to the recipient inside the card.
You can create a group by either ticking the individual recipients from within the Address Book and clicking on ‘add to group’ or by going into the groups tab and clicking on ‘create new group’. Please remember to give your group a name.
From within the groups tab you can edit your group, delete your group or create a card to send to your group of multiple recipients. With the later option you have the option to put an auto greeting onto each individual card i.e. To Mum, Dear Fred and Hilda, making the card more personal.
